Cologne-based Sebastian Scrapić, also known under his moniker COMING ON STRONG (who retired from the scene under unclear circumstances in the mid-2000s), still confounds the limitation of having to place his own tracks in various columns with his past releases that are hard to classify, i.e., as cutting edged House and Techno Music in its purest sense. With the current release "Transitions 2 _ Vintage Riddims" Scrapić consciously leaves the path of Minimal Techno that was initially chosen. And instead, in the second round, turns to an exciting melange of earlier influences that were decisive for him, such as classic House, 80s disco, 90s NYC 4/4, and Breaks/Electro. Unfortunately, the four original track recordings from 2001 (which were subsequently supposed to be released in 2002/3) that are now available here were temporarily lost on a hard drive that was also damaged. But as luck would get it, this reappeared during an office reorganization.

The rest was basically routine work. In which Cologne's "one and only" Emanuel Geller (Salz-Mastering www.salz-mastering.com) professionally carried out the reconstruction of the damaged tracks as well as the mastering. And to which label-buddy Chris Baumann (www.instagram.com/chrsbmnn/) put two of the tracks more than competently in the remix context of contemporary Tech-House like AcidBreaks. The result was another convincing Scrapić HiTech-Audio-Constructon, not only for all open-minded House Headz. All this including slamming remix-werk that definitely doesn't have to evade the current competition.

Last but not least, one of the up-and-coming Cologne DJ newcomers MaeshRoom.bOy (originally from Ivano-Frankivsk UA / linktr.ee/maesh.room.b0y) took over the demo mix presentation for "Transitions Vol.2". The result could not have turned out better.
